Yours looked the closest to what I had had in mind. My little boy will be 2 soon. He also loves cars. I also have been envisaging him sqwaking with excitement, pointing his finger and saying "car!". So I loved your blog entry. But it also made me nervous. I baked a cake once in my life, 25 years ago. It wasn't a huge success. I have been carrying around this vision of me pulling two retangular cakes out of the oven, putting a smaller one on top of the bigger one, and wiping on a bit of icing. With biscuits for wheels. I grew up on sesame street the way it was. Why exactly is it so horrible for my kids to do the same? If they found all of these things so wrong with it why didn't they just take it off the regular channels and put reruns of the original sesame street on one of those retro kid show channels like bugs bunny so those who want to watch it still can. They could have come up with a whole new kids show to fill the time slot and everyone would have been happy. I just don't understand why everything has to be so difficult..
